LSE students celebrate success
Over one hundred students attended the LSE Students' Union Awards on Tuesday 28th April to celebrate student achievement in societies, sports, journalism and volunteering at LSE.
Twenty-three honorary studentships were granted in recognition of contribution to campus life, while a further twenty-three awards were given for outstanding contribution.

Amongst the other awards presented were Best New Society, which went to the Food Appreciation Society, and the Best Overall Society, won by the Drama Society.
Also awarded on the night was the Dev Cropper Memorial Award, set up in honour of John Develand Cropper, an active student who sadly died during his studies in 1998. This year's winner, Sanjiv Nanwani, has been awarded a grant of £2,500 to ensure he can continue to contribute to student life during his third year of study.
Aled Dilwyn Fisher, LSE Students' Union General Secretary, hailed the night as a great success: "All those nominated were winners, picking the winners was the hardest task I’ve ever had”.
LSE Students' Union has over 160 societies, 30 sports clubs and a successful RAG fundraising group. It is also home to the Beaver newspaper, Pulse Radio, LooSE TV and the newly revived Clare Market Review.
